Get to know Steve


Steve is from Cheshire in the North West of England, where he grew up with his small family. After completing his degree at the University of Hull, Steve ventured ‘Down Under’ at the age of 22 and quickly fell in love with Australia. Family is everything to him, and regular FaceTime calls with his nieces and nephews are super important.
Driven by a desire to always improve and make a meaningful impact, Steve brings this mindset to every area of his life. With a wealth of experience as a senior business leader he has a natural ability to unite people, create alignment, and empower individuals and teams to reach their full potential. This was evident in his success leading teams to achieve the highest and most sustained E-NPS scores in the business and being recognised as the highest-performing individual within the organisation. As a senior leader in Safety, Steve has managed both small and complex teams, guiding them on the journey to becoming high-performing, fostering a culture that people genuinely want to be part of and creating a strategy that is clear. These experiences form the foundation of The Mind Shift Lab.
Steve’s mission is to unlock the leader in every person. His commitment to challenging the status quo and pushing the boundaries of growth underpins everything he does. With a bold vision to inspire and create lasting impact, Steve is passionate about creating great leaders that care.

Fun facts
Steve became Head of Safety for a major airline in Australia at the age of 31
Steve has a passion for continuous learning and development and regularly listens to different podcasts including The Diary of a CEO, The High Performance Podcast and TED Talks daily
He set up his own Football (Soccer) team at the age of 11 to kick start his love of sport.
Steve is also a Run Lead for one of Brisbane mainstream run clubs and loves to support the community
